Production of the Augustijn Game Table
The Augustijn Game table is an unique phenomenon in Belgium. This is the brewery’s way of giving its customers something unique. A trip to the pub become so much more than just having a beer. It is a social event to be shared with your friends. And what better to do than to play a game, to have a bite and to drink a wonderful Augustijn beer? It is a complement to the hype of food pairing, beer tapas, etc. and is also completely in line with the revival of classic games. That’s why the brewery chose to offer variants of well-known classics. There is for instance the ‘Conquer the Meetjesland’, the ‘Augustijn route through the Meetjesland’, the ‘Pietsjesbak’ and of course, some good old card games. All played around a unique table. The game board has the shape of the Meetjesland and is decorated with the 10 commandments of Augustijn. Commandments such as ‘Thou shall not play by yourself’, and ‘Here, only Augustijn should be had’ reinforce the community feeling in a fun way. With your friends today, and those of tomorrow.
